MUS 295-2 - Spec Topics: Blues Guitar


3 Credits

An advanced level course on the history of blues guitar, regional musicians and performance with emphasis on the central Appalachian region. Students will be introduced to various scales, patterns, and chord structure in relation with lead notes, arpeggios, and picking techniques. Course will cover ear training, note reading, tablature, performance and skills necessary to apply lead guitar to blues performance.
Prerequisite MUS 164  or divisional approval
